HMAS Canberra Ballast Project

Eifers was engaged for the mobile batching of 40T of ballast to be loaded into HMAS Canberra, and it’s sister ship, HMAS Adelaide. The 40T of ballast was produced with a mix of iron ore and treated sand products. We used our fleet of volumetric machines to pump the mix into the hull of both ships, creating even weight distribution and buoyancy for the flagship vessels of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Fleet.
