Northern School of Autism Carpark Re-Development
Eifers was tasked with redeveloping the existing carpark area at the front reception of the Northern School of Autism, introducing a new drive-through and drop off area including a pedestrian crossing.
The project required the removal of existing asphalt, dirt and vegetation from the site. As the new carpark was double the size, our workers had to excavate a large area of grass to reach a compactable ground, all the while working carefully around the existing trees as they were to be integrated into the new carpark. To construct the four new crossovers, we had to implement traffic and pedestrian management to conduct our works safely and with efficiency. The subgrade works included installing a geo-fabric layer, pits and drainage, a fire main extension and the compaction of over 160 cubic meters of class 3 crushed rock.
Once all the concrete and asphalt works were complete, we began the final touches, including landscaping and safety instruction signage and line marking. The project was finished ahead of schedule and on a cost-efficient budget.
