Lilydale Airport Runway

Due to taxiway flooding issues, Eifers was contracted to establish a new runway for Lilydale Airport by Waterpave (a local supplier of pervious concrete) to supply and pour 2250m2 concrete within a two-week time frame. Eifers opted to use a 125mm pour of pervious concrete due to its high porosity and drainage, reducing water runoff. Works included the profiling and preparation of subgrade, formwork and installation of dowels and Danley joints to reinforce the concrete pour.
