Sierra Slab Replacements Melbourne Airport

Eifers removed and replaced concrete slabs on behalf of Antoun within the sierra taxiway all within 4 hours. The work required saw cutting, slurry removal, lifting and disposal of the existing concrete pavement slabs, and pouring of High-strength Rapid Set Concrete with our Volumetric trucks. All works were to be completed within the confined area of the sierra taxiway, therefore, making the project a time-critical one as it was essential for all works to be completed and ready for aircraft to use the taxiway. A critical factor in this project was the new concrete slab reaching near-final compressive strength in a matter of hours.
