Safety Officer Carpark Melbourne Airport

Due to constant traffic and weather damage, we were contracted to repair the WSO carpark at Melbourne Airport, amending the crushed rock pavement and increasing the number of parking spaces twofold.

To stabilise the pavement, we injected GRT 7000 polymer into the rock then grading and compacting with smooth rollers. As a few subsoil areas were soft, we excavated and removed the pliable clay, replacing it with geofabric matting and cement treated crushed rock before compacting once again.

Our team designed a new asphalt access road to be installed. The new design system would enable multiple vehicles to both enter and exit the carpark simultaneously, as well as ensuring the longevity of the car park's surface. After completing the above works and re-levelling to avoid water retention, multiple applications of GRT 7000 were performed to suppress dust for the warmer months to come. We also installed bump stops to prevent vehicle collisions.

We continue to happily and cost-effectively complete all contracted tasks in a safe manner, adding yet another successful project and happy customer tour repertoire.
